HOUSTON,TX (October 2008) . . . . . The 22nd Annual Celebrity Paws Gala, benefiting Citizens for Animal Protection, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22^nd in the Hilton Americas Hotel Ballroom, 1600 Lamar Street (77010).

Beginning at 6:30 PM the evening includes a Cocktail Reception, Silent Auction, and the presentation of "Houston's Ten Elite and their Pets" competing in their specially designed Chateaux des Paws vying for the title of "Celebrity Pet of the Year". The evening continues with a seated dinner, entertainment and live auction. Master of Ceremonies is KHOU Channel 11s Debora Duncan and the Auctioneer is Vikki Vines.

The Gala Chairmen are Linda Schmuck and Todd Zucker, Co-Chairman is Carolyn Faulk and Honorary Chairmen are Chris and Don Sanders.

The 2008 "Ten Elite Honorees" and their pets competing for the "Celebrity Pet of the Year" title are Clair Amonett with Sophie, Michelle Bohreer with Duke, Gwen Joekel with Sandy & Charlie, Shelby Kibodeaux with Toby, Patti Murphy with Dolce, Margaret Reckling with Isabella, Vanessa Riley with Friday, Laura Spalding with Jolly, Monsour Taghdisi with Tyke and Natalie Wall with Alex

Chateaux des Paws Designers are Lucas Chavez, LC Floral Design, Debbie Elias, CSEP,CMP, Darryl Murchison, Darryl & Co., Neiman Marcus, Gene Ruple, Fashionable Events Design Team, and The Phoenix Design Group, Inc.

From Intercontinental Airport (IAH): Exit Bush Airport and follow the directional signs to the 1-45/Beltway 8 Exit. Proceed onto Beltway 8 West, then exit onto I-45 South. Follow I-45 South to downtown. Exit McKinney St. and follow McKinney St. to La Branch. Turn right on La Branch. Go down 2 blocks to Dallas and turn left on Dallas. Go down 2 blocks and the hotel will be on the right.

From Hobby Airport (HOU): Exit Hobby Airport and follow the directional signs to I-45 North. Take 45 North to the downtown destinations/Scott Street split. Follow the split to the Pease Street exit and continue down to Austin St. Turn right on Austin and continue to Dallas St. Turn right onto Dallas St. and go down 3 blocks and the hotel will be on the right.
